As we travel around India you will see that each region is very different. The North has some of the highest mountains on Earth, but there are flat plains near the sea, which can flood in heavy rain. There are desert regions in the middle, a ridge of mountains down the western coast, and lots of beaches. The way of life can be very different in each region - there are enormous, bustling cities where millions of people rush to offices and schools in cars, packed buses and trains but there are also small, quiet country villages where people live a slower life earning money from farming, fishing, making craft objects and clothes.
