Mix all the ingredients (except the pappadums) together in a bowl.
Put the pappadums out on plates and divide your mixture between them, putting a spoonful on each pappadum at a time. Serve immediately so that they don't go soggy.
* To roast your cumin seeds, heat them in a dry frying pan until they start to go dark. You can then crush them with the back of a spoon.
Remember: Always ask an adult before you start cooking. Take care when using knives and hot cookers.
